The simply designed Casio G-Shock Classic digital watch for men offers shock resistance that’s great for your most vigorous sporting activities. The durable rectangular black watch case measures 45mm wide (1.77 inches), and it’s matched to a comfortable black resin sports strap. The face has two windows that show time (bottom) and date (top) as well as a circular display for the stopwatch function, which can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 24 hours). It also offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times, and it includes a countdown timer with a 24-hour range. Other timekeeping features include a multi-function alarm, hourly time signal (which can be turned off), and 12/24-hour formats. This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)–which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving.

I love this watch. I spent a long time window/screen shopping before I decided to drop my hard earned money on a watch. I wanted a watch that I didn’t have to ever wind, change the battery, worry about breaking, or decide if it matches my outfit. br /br /This is that watch. It has everything you could need. I treat my stuff pretty rough so I am always looking for products that can handle being beaten up and bashed around. I would say that just about the only weak link of this watch will be the band. It’s the standard plastic so it will go before the watch ever shows signs of wear. br /br /I can always change the band someday. I have had this watch over three months now and I just love it. With the automatic atomic time sync it always displays accurate time. br /br /I can’t say enough about how much I love and depend on this watch. It will be my watch of choice for years to come.

I am a fan of this watch. The beauty of this watch is that it is as utilitarian as a hammer and just as indestructible. I bought one for myself and another for my father as a gift. Mine has been covered in paint, gone diving in salt water, and gone skiing and camping in tough conditions. It is routinely used while I run and ends up dripping in sweat. Over nearly 1.5 years of this activity level and there is not even a mark on the plastic band. My dad is finding out the same thing after destroying his past two watches due to inadvertent impacts or water intrusion. I have owned a couple of Timex Ironman models and this watch is much more robustly constructed. Very simple and easy to read interface, controls are intuitive. You can throw the instructions away. The Amazon price is great, as well, compared to other websites or retail outlets near me (Chicagoland area).br /br /This watch is not cool, it is not fancy, and it has zero “bling”. I don’t know if that makes me like it even more. I am a watch collector, and have a number of very nice swiss timepieces in my collection. However, the Casio ends up being on my wrist more than any of my other watches, even for work functions or places where I am typically dressed up. I think the Casio is so anti-fashion that it actually makes a fashion statement.
