The pitcher holds up to seven eight-ounce glasses of delicious water at a time. The superior quality of this filtration system allows you to filter up to 40 gallons (151 liters) of water per filter, enough to last a typical household one to two months. To use, simply insert the filter, fill the pitcher, and enjoy a glass of cleaner, fresher-tasting water.pbTwo-Step Filtration Keeps Your Family Healthy/bbrConvenient and easy to use, the pitcher’s innovative two-stage filtration system is certified to remove twice as many contaminates as Brita water filtration systems. It removes 99.9% of harmful microbiological cysts, such as cryptosporidium and giardia, as well as other contaminates, such as lead, chloride, and arsenic. What’s more, pharmaceutical residue that’s often found in the water supplies of major metropolitan areas is reduced by 96%.pThe smart filter system also leaves beneficial fluoride in the water. This means your water will not only be healthier, it will taste cleaner. PUR believes your water should be as clean, natural, and free of unwanted substances as possible. To this end, All PUR products are tested and certified by NSF International, an independent agency that administers a series of rigorous tests for water purification.pbReduce Environmental Waste While Saving Money/bbrBy investing in a PUR water filtration system, you’ll be spending a tenth of what you would in one year of buying bottled water. This amounts to a comparable savings of 0 a year if you were to buy 16-ounce plastic water bottles. By bottling your own filtered water, you’ll not only be saving money, you’ll also be helping the environment by reducing plastic waste from discarded water bottles.pbWhat’s in the Box/bbrPUR CR-6000 PUR CRF-950Z 2-Stage Water Pitcher Replacement Filter, 3-Pack Overviews

Keep drinking chemical- and odor-free water with a new PUR water filter. This pack of three replacement filters fits PUR’s Ultimate Water Filtration Dispenser and Pitcher. They reduce cadmium, cryptosporidium, giardia, lead, mercury, asbestos, copper, zinc, and sediment 96 to 99.99 percent; plus lessen chlorine levels and discoloration. p PUR’s filters are made with activated carbon to reduce chlorine and sediment, and include an ion-exchange resin that helps eliminate lead and copper. For best results, filters should be changed every 40 gallons. While PUR filters rid water of many chemicals, coloration, and bad flavors, they do not soften water or remove fluoride. This package of filters measures 7.9 by 7.6 by 2.7 inches, and weighs 2 pounds. i–Jessica Reuling/i

PUR CRF-950Z 2-Stage Water Pitcher Replacement Filter, 3-Pack CustomerReview

The filters are individually packaged, covered in a nice reflective chrome foil wrapping that when opened reveals the cobalt blue Pur water filter. You must remember to remove the old filter before installing the new filter. The old filter unscrews in counter-clockwise orientation and the new filter screws into the pitcher’s orifice in a clockwise orientation, reminding me of the adage: lefty… loosey, righty…tighty. It is easier to do this procedure while the pitcher is void of water. Then fill the pitcher up with water, wait patiently for the water to drizzle through and enjoy the joys of filtered water.br /br /Bic Mont Blanc

PUR CR-6000 2 Stage Oval Water Pitcher CustomerReview

This is an excellent value in a filtered pitcher. Sure, it’s not massively huge, but that’s a good thing, or else it’d take up too much room in your fridge. We have 4 people in our house, and it’s big enough for us. After you fill your glass or pitcher or water bottle, simply stick the Pur pitcher under the tap to re-fill it before sticking it back into the fridge. So really, there’s no excuse for it to not always be full of water. If you have a huge family, then just get a standard non-filter pitcher and fill it up with several pitchers of water from the Pur filter to start out with and then keep the Pur topped off.br /br /The spout is small enough so that it’s easy to fill the tiny openings of water bottles with, without spilling any water. Before going for a walk or jog, I fill my regular water bottle this way.
