I was deciding between the SB600 and SB900 but because of the price difference i went with this kit. I needed the flash and bracket for work and the rechargeable batteries are a great plus. Although the TTL cord is not an official Nikon cord, you dont notice because it works beautifully. The bracket is wonderful, i use this setup everyday for work with no problem. The only slight issue i have with it is that while the 600 does have a build in diffuser, it does not have a built in bounce card. The bounce reflector included in the kit does seem to work great but, it requires you to put Velcro (included) on the sides and top of the flash. I tested the reflector with tape because i am still reluctant to get sticky stuff on an expensive unit. This kit is a wonderful buy but, as a professional who has experience with an SB900, i would say if you can spring for the 900, go for it. I plan on purchasing a 900 to use as my main and keeping the 600 as a backup and as a slave fill flash for studio work.
