This is one nifty little camera. Since I’m not a techie, but I do compose my pictures pretty well, I have an appreciation and desire for more than a drugstore camera.br /br /The Nikon S550 takes a crisp picture. When compared with the shots of someone using a professional camera, this one held its own–even taking portrait-style close-ups. One of the features I find useful is that even if your hand moves, the camera has the ability to stabilize the image.br /br /I used my camera extensively while shopping for and remodeling our home. I was able to capture the items, their exact colors, and was so on-target that, our decorator was amazed at the accuracy. I’m not a professional but I have a Canon Rebel for the serious stuff. I needed a small camera to keep in my bag for those events that pop up when I don’t feel like the SLR.
