I bought this to replace mine which had been in the machine for over 6 months. I think it works, but there was only a slight difference in the taste, if any at all. I was hoping that this would improve the taste of my coffee since my old filter was so bad, but didn’t do that. Nevertheless, the goal of this product is to filter water, not necessarily improve taste. Since it does that, it still gets a 5-star.
