I had my initial doubts when ordering this product. However, the price of TV mounts at chain electronic stores swayed me to go into the direction of the Cheetah mount. I mounted a 40″ Samsung on the mount which weighs around 40lbs. The cheetah mount itself is very well built and weighs in at around 28lbs. I have no doubt this mount would easily support 80-100lb’s.br /br /The Cheetah mount comes with all of the options needed to install the product quickly. The product comes with 4 screws to mount into wooden studs and optional hardware for concrete installation as well. There are also 3 sets of (4 screws) included which are used to attach the TV screen to the swiveling mount included. So, you assured that one of the screw sets will be the proper size to secure your TV to the mount. br /br /The mounting plate fits perfectly to the standard 16″ stud distance that most homes have. Again with this standard installation distance of 16 inches I have no doubt this stand would support 80-100lbs easily. If the distance between studs is further then the standard 16″ distance there is hardware included for this type of installation. However, I’m not sure I would trust the mount to support a TV of much weight using this option. br /br /The built in level works really well. Before tightening down the anchoring bolts completely to the wall make sure the mount sits level. Extend the swivel portion of the mount inward and outward and double check to see if the mount is level throughout the entire range of motion. If the mount becomes slightly “out of level” upon extension or retraction adjust the base plate slightly and use a pencil to mark this leveled location on the wall. Once the TV is in the proper location to remain level throughout its length of travel tighten your anchoring bolts down completely. If you skip this process the TV may slightly dip or angle slightly when extended.br /br /There are cutouts also on the back of the mount. The advantage of this is that your TV can still sit closely to the wall but these holes provide a little extra gap to run wires through while also providing some distance between the wall and cords. So, there shouldn’t be any issues with the cables coming into contact with the wall or mount.br /br /The angling portion of the mount is very easy to use as well. Make sure when installing the brackets to the TV that your tightening arms are positioned towards the outer edges of the TV. Otherwise you will not be able to get to these tightening arms once the TV is installed. If the brackets are installed properly you can easily reach them to adjust the angle.br /br /I paid .69 + shipping () for this mount. For that price point at the local chain stores I would’ve come home empty handed. Local shops were charging .99 + taxes for a basic wall mount with no swiveling/extending option. So, for less I received a product that was of equal or better quality and had the options of swiveling and extending.br /br /br /br /

Simple install on wall and t.v. Easy placement onto wall mount. The only thing I didn’t particularly like about it is the fact that when the t.v. with the mount on it hooks onto the wall portion of the mount it does not latch on very far. If one of my kids bump it up about 1/2 inch it may fall off of the wall. Could be bad. I think I will put a safety cable on it just in case.

This is a very substantial mount with Dual arms and heavy guage steel. The arms extend over 20″ from the wall yet fold to less than 5″. Even at full extension, this mount has very little sag or twist. It is rated for up to 165lbs and most displays 55″ and smaller weigh under 100lbs. The unit has dual tilt adjustment knobs and it will tilt forward or back 15 degrees. The wall plate is 19″ wide and has wide slots making it easy to mount into standard 16″ studs even if they are not exactly 16″ apart. Thus, the arms may be visible on the sides of 32″ units. The universal design will fit any display with a hole pattern up to 26.3″ wide and 18″ tall. The wall plate is 1/8″ thick and very stable and includes a large center hole for cable pass-though into the wall. This mount will swivel approximately 150 degrees depending on the size of your display. Dual TV locking screws are included to prevent accidental liftoff of the display. I purchased this wall mount about a month ago, and found it so easy to install – and such a secure solution for our 42″ LCD TV – that I had to add my voice to the chorus of praise for this item.br /br /First of all, the shipping speed was exceptionally prompt, even using standard ground shipping. Once out of the box, I found the directions to be straightforward and thorough, resulting in an absolutely trouble-free installation. The mount itself is small enough that it cannot be seen when the TV is retracted against the wall. It is also clearly capable of handling the weight, as we usually watch the TV with the mount in the fully-extended position and have noticed no sagging or shifting. Upon first installation, the hinges were a bit stiff, but that has worked itself out with use. In summary, this is a first-quality wall mount at an extremely reasonable price.br /br /We’re now strongly considering another Cheetah purchase, this time of a component shelf with built-in cable management.

I used this mount to hang a 48lb, 42″ Phillips LCD TV. My house has steel studs, which are useless for weight bearing mounting applications, so I had to improvise the installation by using six 3″ toggle bolts right into the drywall instead of the four lag bolts provided. Even though I have never seen my installation approach recommended anywhere, it appears to be very solid and i’ve had no problems. br /br /As far as the Cheetah mount is concerned, the product is so well engineered and the hardware package is so complete that I can’t imagine any benefit to buying any of the much more expensive mounts sold in stores. Even with my improvising the entire installation took about a half hour. The instuctions provided with the mount are clear and to the point. This is a great product at a great price. Thanks Cheetah, and thanks Amazon.
